To maintain a high standard of scholarly publishing, authors submitting manuscripts to JOHRMS must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Scope and Relevance

Manuscripts should align with the journal’s focus areas, including occupational health, environmental and industrial safety, risk management, public health, disaster preparedness, ergonomics, and safety policy. Submissions outside these themes will not be considered.

2. Manuscript Structure

Each manuscript should include:

• Title Page: Title of the paper, authors’ names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and email addresses.
• Abstract: 200–250 words summarizing the research objectives, methodology, results, and conclusion.
• Keywords: 4–6 keywords reflecting the study’s core topics.
• Introduction
• Methods
• Results
• Discussion
• Conclusion
• References: In APA 7th edition format.

3. Formatting

• Use Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
• Font: Times New Roman, 12pt
• Line spacing: Single
• Page size: A4
• Margins: 1 inch on all sides

4. Originality and Ethics

Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere. All authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and confirm compliance with ethical standards, including informed consent and institutional approvals for studies involving human or animal subjects.

5. Figures and Tables

• Numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2)
• Captions must be concise and explanatory
• High-resolution images in .jpg or .png formats may be submitted separately

6. References

All sources cited must appear in the reference list. Use APA (7th edition) citation style. Example:

Ezenwa, A. O. (2001). A study of fatal injuries in Nigerian factories. Occupational Medicine, 51(8), 485–489.
